Review // KiDiGi Desktop Dock for Nexus 7

KiDiGi make some excellent accessories for mobile - I’ve used a similar desktop dock of theirs before, for my old Samsung Nexus S. This desktop dock for the Nexus 7 is a simple, plug-ing-and-go USB charging and syncing dock.

Not much more can be said about it other than the fact that it simply has a slot at the front top portion into which your Nexus 7 sits; this section also has a micro USB connector which will allow you to keep your Nexus 7 charged or synced at your desk. A USB cable is actually supplied in the packaging, but I preferred to simply plug in my existing Nexus 7 charger into the back of the dock, and use it that way.

The tablet sits perfectly in the dock, with little movement or bending. The angle at which the dock holds your Nexus 7 relative to your sitting position is also excellent, not too steep and not to shallow an angle either. If you had an external keyboard then I see no reason why you couldn’t use this to prop your Nexus 7 up next to your keyboard - after all, you can remove the USB cable from the back of the dock and use it simply as a stand.

Overall, this is an excellent dock for the Nexus 7. Sure, it only allows syncing and charging, but its simplicity and very high build quality makes it a great product for the price. Definitely one to be recommended.
